Lake Wobegon Bike Trail (yes, from Garrison Keeler) was today's route and will continue to be so tomorrow. After a few miles on the road, Matt, Josh and I hopped onto the trail that stretches over one hundred miles on our route. It used to be part of an old railroad line and there's towns every eight or so miles. The reason being was for the old steam railroads that supposedly required water after short distances. So, we passed through a multitude of old railroad towns.
We met another cyclist named Mike that was a pleasure to converse with.
Matt got off in the town of Albany while Josh and I ventured onward toward Melrose, where we may or not have indulged in a little trouble.
Josh and I left and bought a pint of whiskey. We figured
A. "What the hell, we're on bikes."
B. "What the hell, we're on a bike trail."
And C. "What the hell?"
It definitely spiced up the final fifty miles to the town of Garfield.
